Every year, our family and three other families get together the week before Christmas for an Advent Dinner. The dinner has now become a tradition of over twenty years and I'm sure will continue for quite a while longer. Here's hoping that one year we will have enough room to host it at our place.
This year it was hosted at my parent's house and I was enlisted to do the table settings and name cards. I only used what was on hand at my mom's house so we wouldn't have to get anything else. It ended up being a great night and it's always great catching up with everyone. I was a flower girl in one of the couple's weddings almost twenty years ago, so we all go way back.
There ended up being nineteen people total, which actually fit quite cozy in the living/dining room with two tables end-to-end. I get a kick out of doing this kind of stuff, so it was enjoyable.
We did buy four cheap flower bouquets, each one a different flower and then I arranged them to look a bit more interesting.
